Writing In the Community

WriteWords is proud to deliver creative writing workshops in a variety of community settings.

These workshops aim to help people experience the joy of words, regardless of age, background and ability.

We'll create workshops that are tailored to your organisation. We have a strong track record of delivering workshops in schools, hospitals and libraries. We specialise in working with people with disabilities.

Organisations we have collaborated with include Waterford Intellectual Disability Association, the National Council for the Blind, Waterford Healing Arts Trust and the Irish Hospice Foundation.

Content Training for Non-Profits

WriteWords also offers its content training course to the non-profit sector, helping their marketing teams to tell their organisation's story.

Charities, social enterprises and community groups have powerful stories to tell about the difference they can make to people's lives.

Being able to tell that story through marketing content will help your organisation to attract the interest of the public and ultimately to gain financial support, through donations, grants or buying your lovely products.

Derbhile from WriteWords is available to MC your arts, community or charity event. She will make sure your event flows smoothly from start to finish, introducing each speaker in a way that feel s special and adding a personal comment at the end of each talk. She can also chair panels of speakers, asking thought provoking questions that will lead to lively conversation.

Derbhile has developed a reputation in the literary community for MCing events with humour, eloquence and flair. She has a background in radio and previously broadcast on RTE Lyric FM, RTE Radio 1 and WLRFM.

She was also an active member of Toastmasters International for many years, winning several awards in their public speaking competitions.
